In-person video teaching & discussion on sexuality, technology, & God's design
1. Have you ever watched someone you really respected make a decision that completely surprised or disappointed you? How did it change the way you saw them?

2. Read Genesis 12:17–20 and Galatians 3:3–9.  Abram's decisions put God's promises in jeopardy, yet God intervened and remained faithful. What do these passages reveal about the foundation of our relationship with God, and why is grace so difficult for us to fully embrace?

3. Think about the part of your life you work hardest to keep together or appear to have figured out. What are you afraid might happen if others saw your weakness or failure there, and how might God's unwavering grace change the way you carry that fear?
Middle School
1. Why do you think Abram was so afraid, and how did his fear affect the choices he made?
2. What does this story teach us about God when we make bad decisions or try to handle things our own way?

High School
1. Abram had just trusted God enough to leave home, but in Egypt he acts out of fear. What does that teach us about how faith and fear can both show up in the same person?
2. How does God protect His promise in this story even when Abram is failing? What does that show us about God’s faithfulness?
