Our 2026 Annual Update is a celebration of all God has done in and through the Springs this past year! From stories of life change and ministry highlights to financial updates and a look at what’s ahead, we invite you to take a moment to reflect on God’s faithfulness and how He continues to work through our church family as we help people love and live for Jesus, together.

1. The Desire for Control
Think about a time when you had to let someone else make a decision that directly affected you. What was that experience like, and what made it easy or difficult to trust them?
2. Scripture & God's Character
Read Genesis 13:8–18 and Romans 8:31–32.
Abram willingly gives Lot the first choice of land, even though God's promises to him remain unfulfilled. What do these passages reveal about God's trustworthiness, and how does the gift of His Son give us confidence to entrust our futures to Him?
3. What Are You Afraid to Surrender?
What is something good in your life that you find yourself holding onto tightly—a relationship, your children's future, financial security, a dream, or an opportunity? What are you afraid might happen if you surrendered control of it to God?

Middle School
1. Why did Abram let Lot choose the land first? What does that show us about trusting God?
2. Lot chose what looked best to him. How can something look good at first but still lead us in the wrong direction?
High School
1. Abram gives up his right to choose first because he trusts God’s promise. Where are you most tempted to control the outcome instead of trusting God?
2. Lot makes his decision based largely on what he can see. What does Genesis 13 teach us about the difference between making choices by appearance and making choices by faith?
