Member Relief and Support

How Members Can Receive Relief

Springs Community Church seeks to further and fulfill God’s vision for the local church! We know this means living generously towards our community, as well as one another. Acts 4:32 says, “Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common.”

Striving to be all that God intends for His local church, The Springs’ 432 Relief Ministry wisely provides for the basic needs of Members during financial hardship (food, clothing, shelter).

Our hope is to provide help to Members in need, as well as life-giving care to all involved. We seek to love, support, and disciple everyone involved in the process. Opportunities like this are tremendous examples of the church being the church!

Below is the high-level, 3-step process for how any Springs’ Member can get help in need.

  • Share Your Need with Your Community Group – Community Groups are the primary environment where discipleship takes place at The Springs. In seeking to live out Acts 2:42-47, we ask Members in financial need first share with their Community Group. Sharing will include full financial disclosure: what you own, what you owe, what you earn, and where you spend your money. You can use the following financial overview as a template. Many groups will be able to directly meet the need, and the 432 Ministry will not need to be involved. What a beautiful “act of grace” (2 Corinthians 8:3-7)!
  • If Your Group is Unable to Meet the Financial Need, Complete the 432 Application – We recognize groups cannot always meet the financial needs of one another, which is why we celebrate the broader body’s ability to meet those needs (2 Corinthians 8:3-4). Please reach out to Jonathan Dennis ( [email protected] ) to receive a 432 Application. You’ll be sharing the same information referenced above. Please keep in mind that the church asks for a full financial disclosure to not only disciple our Members and groups well, but to also ensure we are serving those of highest risk and need.
  • The 432 Relief Ministry, with Your Community Group, Will Walk You Through the Process – Based on the application, feedback from your Community Group, and scriptural wisdom, a Pastor will walk with you through the process. Our goal is serving “as any had need,” and we are grateful to come alongside you and others during this process (Acts 2:45). Springs Staff will then help coordinate with you, as well as your Community Group, to review and approve any continued funding needs on a monthly basis.

Here you can find a detailed breakdown of the 432 Ministry, as well as a list of FAQ’s. Again, our hope is to provide grace to Members in need, as well as life-giving care to all involved. The Springs sees the wise provision for our Members in need as instrumental to the local church – we are here to help!
