Garrison was raised in Brady, Tx and Nashville, Tn (moved back and forth 3 times!) by parents who faithfully shared and lived out the gospel. Growing up with 8 brothers and sisters, his home life wasn’t always perfect but it was filled with love and laughter. He trusted Jesus with his life at the age of 7 and was baptized by his dad. Garrison graduated high school with a clear understanding of the gospel; though it had not truly penetrated his heart. This looked like being known as a “great kid” but seeking significance and worth in sports, women, and school.

Garrison attended Dallas Baptist University in 2012 and had the privilege to play college baseball. Although he grew as a man and as an athlete, he found himself still seeking things of the world that would ultimately never satisfy him. In 2015, after transferring twice and dealing with multiple injuries, Garrison was back at DBU and done with a game that had ruled his life for 17 years.

This was a huge turning point in Garrison’s life. Surrounded by a community that loved him, The Lord began to restore his life and give him a new identity in Jesus.

Garrison’s love for Jesus and Student ministry began to grow as he served with Watermark Church and Pine Cove Camps as a leader of junior high and high school guys. After graduating from DBU in 2017 with a degree in Sports and Business Management, he attended the Watermark Residency Program where he served with the Students Staff and was trained and equipped to be a leader in Ministry. Garrison is thrilled to start serving the community here as well as enjoying the town of New Braunfels!

Garrison’s favorite hobbies are going to movies and concerts, hanging out with friends and family, watching Cardinals baseball, Florida Gator and Tennessee Titan football, and fishing!
