Springs Family,
This Sunday, we will gather as usual at 8:30am and 10:30am. We’d love to see you and your family, but please use wisdom regarding road conditions and obey any guidance from local authorities about traveling in your area. You are always welcome to join us online if needed. If you are scheduled to serve and cannot make it, please reach out to your ministry leader as soon as possible.
While we are grateful for protection of our community in these recent storms, we know there is still uncertainty for many, especially those who live closest to our rivers. In addition, our hearts are heavy for the surrounding communities impacted by the flooding in the Kerrville/Hunt area. As a church rooted in the Hill Country, shaped by its rivers, and closely connected to the world of Christian camps, this hits close to home. Stories of campers and staff at Camp Mystic, and families stranded at campsites or homes, feel especially personal to many of us. To those within our church body who have been affected—missing loved ones, facing property loss, or simply carrying the weight of uncertainty, know that we are standing with you in prayer and here to support you however we can.
In the midst of grief, sadness, and confusion, we invite you to anchor your hearts in God’s Word:
“I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121:1-2
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” Psalm 46:1-2
“I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4
We also want to take a moment to thank the many first responders in our church family who are serving our community and beyond—your dedication does not go unnoticed.
If you or someone you know needs help or prayer, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
